"Erika Renee Land is an Army veteran and War Poet. Before 9/11, Erika joined the Army as a pharmacy technician. Her job was to dispense medications in the emergency department. At work, she experienced pain, sorrow, anger, anxiety, depression and helplessness. After leaving service, she believed the only way out from feeling those emotions was to take her life – until she found poetry."
In honor of Women's History Month and hosted by Sanford Vet Center, the Warrior Writers present Poetry Sound Off on 17 March 2021 from 1800 to 1900 via Zoom. Maggs Vibo discusses poetry for healing while reading some selections from various anthologies. Click the link below to register (it's free).
"Maggs Vibo served as Margaret Viboolsittiseri in the position of Supply Sergeant for OIF at Al Jaber Air Base where she made supply runs into Kuwait City. Her convoy into Iraq stopped at Tallil Air Base (approximately 20 km from An Nasiriyah). It was at Tallil AB that she burned trash and shit (not a total metaphor)."
Be sure to keep following Land as she debuts her One-Woman Stage Production: PTSD and Me. The production hits the road in2021 and will make its way throughout the United States. Erika is a natural performer and storyteller continuing the HerStory of Women Warriors. Book your tickets today!
